Some yrs back,When there was an earthquake that killed so many people in China,Missionaries from the USA , specifically ALABAMA, went to offer relief and distribute food to those affected. On there car, (Along trailer full of foodstuffs), it was written in bold “ALABAMA”!

Unfortunately to the missionaries, little did they know how that word is powerful in the victims local dialect and language.It meant “GOD OF COMFORT! “.The missionaries were amazed to see people shouting ALABAMA and raising their hands up to God in thanksgiving, as they got goodies and foodstuffs from this trailer. What the missionaries didn’t know is, God had prepared the hearts of his people, with an inscription in the car ,”ALABAMA! The name of their State in the USA,was a word of Comfort to the wounded,maimed and those who were wondering “where is God!They definitely had such a fruitful campaign because so many came to know the Lord.

Saint of God, has their been an Alabama season in your life? Me I have no words because our God has been a real comfort to me. I may not be where I’m supposed to be but I’m grateful to God for the Alabama moments that I have enjoyed in him! Someone recently told me “Alex you’ve been so consistent on Ministry for yrs in Facebook than most of us, so don’t expect God to forsake you now! He never does that to his people! Honestly, I could not say I have been consistent but I agree I have seen an Alabama season where the God of Comfort rose up for me,even when other people were demanding i sit down! I even wonder how God works but he has been good to me. The God of comfort has never forsaken me. How about you my friend?. As a servant of God, have you seen an Alabama moments since march? God always knows how to comfort his people during the hard seasons of life!. I Isaiah 40 he says “Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for,that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.(I Isaiah 40:1-4). Always be keen to notice the move of the spirit of God,as you serve his great name in the mission-field. I’m grateful to God for the ALABAMA moments in my life!How has this season been to you? can you shout ALABAMA as the Chinese did? Have you ever been comforted by God? If you’ve ever “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. ( 2 Corinthians 1:4). Every Alabama Moment must be used for God,even after we have been comforted. The world around us needs us and what a joy,when you reach out to people and they should “ALABAMA!. Think about that.
