The world will tell you “zip it up, don’t tell it to anybody, Share not, it’s personal, keep it within but the Lord says Confess it, renounce it, share it with a brother or sister, let him\her walk with you through it. Many people all over the world, would rather believe a lie more than the truth. Unfortunately, majority have ended up in deep depression and others went to early graves courtesy of this emotional diseases. David, when he had committed sin with Bethsheba, he felt the guilt, and wanted to keep the sin to himself.
He later realized, it not worthy. He says “When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long (read depression). Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Finally, I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the Lord.” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone.(psalms 32:3-5) When talking to the church of his day, James told them to Confess their sins to each other and pray for each other so that they may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person, as he says, has great power and produces wonderful results.(James 5:16) Saint of God, are you caught up in a mess or anything that has brought a wall between you and your God? Don’t buy into the trick of the devil to zip in, confess it to God and tell the brethren you trust, and let them pray for you. David got his healing and your healing is a confession a way.
