You are always as strong as the foundation you built on your life! Ask any architect, and they will always tell you that the strength of a house, is dependent on the foundation that is laid on, and not much about how magnificent it may look. Foundation is the basis for everything. Every architect, when designing a building, has to take into account how strong the building will be, tall, its length and width and has to calculate the furniture and the seating arrangements that will in the building, then give a road-map, to the constructor, with clear guidelines, on how the building needs to be set and the kind of foundation that should be laid, to carry this building. The best quality a human being can achieve is having a solid foundational life that is founded in Christ. You can build, rebuild yourself and reach great heights in life with a strong foundation. The foundation stone for a balanced successful life is built on honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty.
Jesus is concerned about the foundation of your life more than the glamor of your life. Whenever see abusive people, Murders, corrupt, intolerant, hateful, unforgiving people, lustful and prideful people, etc, it’s a clear indication that the foundation of their life is faulty.
The foundation of our life, as God ordained it, is supposed to be his word. When talking to the disciples, Jesus said ““Everyone who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.(Matthew 7:24-27).
In ”Psalm 11:3,the word of God asks us “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
Saint of God, how is the foundation of your life laid? Is the word of God a pillar in the structure of your life? Is his love the cornerstone that has decorated the entire foundational structure? People are not naturally abusive, hateful or whatever ill we see in our society but they are what they are because their life is not dancing to the tune of God’s word. You can never lay your life’s foundation on God’s word and find yourself bitter, unloving and hateful. If you find yourself lacking in any way, work on your foundation and the rest of the building will dance to your tune. God bless you
