ASERVANT OF GOD MUST NOT QUARREL-2 Timothy 2:24-25
Have you ever had to deal with a person that just wanted to argue with you, no matter which position they took? This person usually has a strong opinion and draws conclusions quickly, rarely giving credence to others viewpoint. In the book of Titus, Paul teaches us to, “Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him. You may be sure that such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned (Titus 3:10-11 ) The apostle Paul knew how to deal with such people. Once he saw this pattern, he confronted the person. If they continued, he cut off fellowship. That aside, someone may ask, if this person happens to be your boss, your ministry head, a colleague you have to interact with daily in your day to day work, a husband or wife at home, or someone most people look up to in the society, what can i do? In such occasions, you will not be able to avoid and cut links but God will always have a word for you in every situations. he says “Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men and if possible, as far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.(Romans 12:17-18 ) Dear saint, in most cases, the root course and stronghold of a person who is argumentative is pride and fear. This person is not secure in who they are as a person. They mask their inadequacies through a need to always be right and argue. Pray that God gives you grace to work with such a person and pray that God will deliver them. Have a blessed day
