In our world today, there exists more than 1000 religions and religious groups. The problem is, majority of this religious groups insist on teaching their flock to do good- with a promise of ” a better future in heaven”. This sounds true but rarely do they give their people any assurance of life and its joy here on earth. People have to go through rigorous labor, pain in order gain eternity! Oh what a false hope! Christianity teaches differently. When we got born again, Our God promised us blessings here on earth -and with a future guarantee of our eternal life with him in heaven! He even sent his spirit to live in us as a guarantee of his presence with us. Taste and see, Psalms 34:8 says, that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. In his writings, Paul says, “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13. Frances J. Crosby, one of the early church Hymn writers wrote this in a hymn;
” Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
Saint of God, what a blessed assurance that Jesus is mine! Do you feel the same? Is his joy bubbling within you like a well of spring water? The Psalmist states “be Led in with joy and gladness, they enter the palace of the king (Read Heaven). Psalms 45:15.Wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, as Corinthians 3:17-18 sates, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed from our eyes can easily see and reflect the glory of the Lord. When we see Jesus as he aught to be seen, we get transformed to be more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image. In Psalms 34:8, David says “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Friend, what a wonderful God we serve, what a wonderful hope and privilege to have tasted of the Lord! I’m glad i belong to Jesus! How about you? God bless you
