Life is all about tests and if you’ve been to school, you know the value of tests. Sometimes, it’s a shock reminder when you fail and some colleges cannot allow you to go forward unless you re-sit for that paper again. when doing any test, there is always an invigilator to check you out. When i was doing one some time back, the invigilator would pretend to have left the class, but only to realize, he’s on the corridor watching from a distance to see if the students might take advantage of his absence as an opportunity to copy! God gives exams too and is our invigilator in the tests of life! Amazingly, none of us in this life is doing the same test however how near we’re to each other. Paul says “each one of us is on his course” and he compares this test to a race. Hebrew 12:1 says “let us run (read seat) with endurance the race (read exam) God has set before us. …we must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up….James 1:2-4 also says “
Whenever troubles come our way, let us consider it as an opportunity that God has priviledged us to seat for our test(exam). Not every exam is easy, but there is always hope in the fact that the examiner cannot give you a paper that he knows he hasn’t taught you about. The temptations in your life, the bible says, are different from what others experience. (then there is a promise) And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. (1 Corinthians 10:13) .What a great promise of God, about the test of life.
For you know that when your faith is TASTED, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. Yes, there may be times when God has been so close to you and you enjoyed every moment. He spoke to you often, encouraged, uplifted you and gave you whatever you wanted as his child, but be sure of this, as you mature in Christ, he will give you a paper to do, just to test, whether you’ve understood anything of all you’ve learnt from him so far.
My question to us all is, is the Lord silent on you currently, yet you know without a shadow of doubt, that, your path are perfect in his sight? He might be watching from the corridor as you do your test! or have you failed a test God had caused you to seat recently and gave up or gave-in in some way? Yes, in Christ, as long us there is God’s breathe in you, you can re-seat for the paper but don’t give up. My point is, whether you failed the exam or are currently doing one, Hebrews 12:2 has this major requirement for every believer in Christ, before and in the process of doing their paper. It says” Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. I wish you God’s blessings as you do your paper. Have a blessed week
