ALL THINGS WORK FOR OUR GOOD

A King had a male servant who, in all circumstances, always said to him; My king, do not be discouraged because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes. One day, they went hunting and a wild animal attacked the king, the servant managed to kill the animal but couldn’t prevent his majesty from losing a finger. Furious and without showing gratitude, the King said; if God was good, I would not have been attacked and lost one finger. The servant replied, ‘despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good and everything He does is perfect, He is never wrong’. Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his servant. While being taken to prison, he told the king again, God is Good & Perfect. Another day, the king left alone for another hunt and was captured by savages who use human beings for sacrifice. On the altar, the savages found out that the king didn’t have one finger in place, he was released because he was considered not “complete” to be offered to the gods. On his return to the palace, he ordered the release of his servant and said; My friend, God was really good to me. I was almost killed but for lack of a single finger, I was let go. But I have a question; If God is so good, why did He allow me to put you in prison? His servant replied; My king, if I had not been put in prison, I would have gone with you, and would have been sacrificed, because I have no missing finger. Everything God does is perfect, He is never wrong. Often we complain about life, and the negative things that happen to us, forgetting that everything happens for a purpose. God knows why you are reading this message today, please bless someone with it by sharing it. God is good and perfect!!

My dear friend, a good attitude will determine your altitude. When you look at your life, career, job or family life, what do you say? Do you praise God? Do you blame the Satan? A good attitude towards God makes Him move on your behalf. Just sit down and say, Today , I am thankful I had a peaceful sleep, I am thankful I am alive with possibilities, I am thankful I have a roof over me, I am thankful I have a job, I am thankful that I have Family and Friends.

Above all, I am thankful that I have God in my life . Be blessed and don’t be envious or shocked when others are prospering because you don’t know what they have been through to get there (test, trials and tribulation) so thank God for what you have. “Little is much when God is in it. It Is Well With God’s grace. Touch someone’s life with this message if God is for us, who can be against us? Don’t read if you can’t forward. God has seen you struggling with something. IT’S GOD’S GOODNESS AND MERCY” THAT KEEPS US ALIVE

I’m and experienced driver (not me) but that’s what i heard from a friend as they conversed with another friend of hers, and me just listening?  I don’t own a car yet, so when those who have cars talk, most of the times, especially when i can’t avoid it, i just listen… Anyway, having experience in driving is not a bad thing-infact with much driving, the more you gain experience, but what triggered my thoughts is not that, but when she was asked about his accident record, all i heard was “all praise from her mouth about herself and the many yrs of driving…infact, according to what i heard from her that day, she started driving after attaining her 18yrs and from then, in her late forties, she has been on the wheels..

Honestly, as a Christian, I really expected her to say “I thank God for the 25 yrs i have been driving, and with no record of accident….but none was coming from her mouth but all i heard is “how she knows” all the terrain in Kenya and can maneuver and even do dangerous turns in certain places because of the experience and many yrs of driving… As she talked, suddenly, a thought came to my mind as a reminder of what God had shown me about her ayr ago in a dream, and for real i felt like God was looking at me.

In this dream, I saw this sister along Gitanga Road. She was driving heading to town but when reaching the Gitanga Road junction, I saw her in the car unconscious if not motionless and then the car started spinning around, because of lack of control. She looked helpless in that dream but other cars were approaching.  I Woke up from that dream and declared “this accident won’t happen…No weapon formed against sister x by the devil will prevail. I nullified all satan’s plans around her that can cause her to be unconscious while driving…covered her with the blood of Jesus as I interceded for her…

Unfortunately, to my amazement, 1 yr later, I was seated next to her and all i could hear was the many yrs of experience…..”Oh” how i have been driving from childhood and all roads in Kenya are on my fingertips… It was paining my spirit as she talked…I felt like saying to her hey, let me tell you something of what i saw about you and how i prayed for you-and God answered my prayers.  Honestly, do you tell someone such things? E.g like  “If it were not for my prayers, you wouldn’t be alive today? Personally, i could not but it’s through those moments that as i said,”i felt God was looking at me, and i could not look back because i was feeling the shame we always give to our heavenly father, after he has answered our prayers, shielded us from the enemy, then, without us giving him the praise, we think it’s our ability that has made all the difference.

I kept wondering how does God feels, when we gloat about with our achievements and what we have accomplished , yet all he needed to hear was us giving him the glory for the 25 yrs of driving without any accident.

I’m listening to Don Moen and all the song I am hearing as i write this is, “someone is praying for you”

I had to google those lyrics and this is what he says “Lyrics

Someone is praying for you

So when it seems you’re all alone

And your heart will break in two

Remember someone is praying for you

Have the crowds ’round you gathered in the midst of the storm?

Is your ship tossed and battered, are you weary and worn?

Don’t lose hope, someone’s praying for you this very day!

And peace be still is already on the way

Someone is praying for you

So when it seems you’re all alone

And your heart will break in two

Remember someone is praying for you

When it seems that you’ve prayed ’til your strength is all gone

And your tears fall like raindrops all the day long

He cares and He knows just how much you can bear

“HE’LL SPEAK YOUR NAME TO SOMEONE IN PRAYER”

Someone is praying for you

So when it seems you’re all alone

And your heart will break in two

Remember someone is praying for you

On this topic, take note of this ““HE’LL SPEAK YOUR NAME TO SOMEONE IN PRAYER”

My question to us all is, how many times do we get medals in other areas, yet in reality, God had appointed for us someone to pray for us, for the said medals decorating our seating rooms ,Boardrooms  offices and areas places where our professions matter ?

In this world, experience is good but do you give Glory to God for it or do you look at it and put a plaque to describe your achievement from A TO Z -with no God anywhere? We are what we are because of God and the prayers of many, “some of whom we will never know they pray for us!

When the great Evangelist Reinhard Bonker had the most successful ministry in Nigeria, where 1 million souls made a decision to follow Christ, it’s said God, before the crusade started, sent intercessors on the grounds to pray for the meeting for 21 days, with prayers and fasting. When Bonke came to minister, the intercessors had disappeared in silence and without announcement, but the results were visible…1 million souls came to Christ…I keep wondering, if Bonke would say “Is because I am a gifted speaker of the word of God, and can move masses….how would God look at him? How about us when we pride in what only God can do?

Personally when i get notification from heaven to intercede for someone, I will never come tell you but I’m an intercessor by calling….I pray and my duty is to pray and i see a lot of results even when i see the same people God gave me a burden for them gloat and pride themselves while thinking “it’s because of experience…. I beg to differ… IT’S God’s goodness that gives us the enablement…He knows where you will find hitches on this road of life…and he may not tell you when rushing out for an assignment will or may informs someone to stand in the gap for you-for a safe landing and great sales. Let the thought of being a great salesman not enter your head to think it’s because you know the tricks of marketing products…Never! It’s God who speaks to us and the people around us, to help us achieve much, as his will for us dictates.

Unfortunately with our days, people don’t give glory to God in every achievement anymore….This is sheer luck, “you’ll hear them say……Some say “i worked for this. I am the best marketer in East and Central Africa……I have experience, come see the trophies–blah blah.

When talking to the Corinthians, Paul says, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31). Imagine this is just about eating and drinking but what about when we walk around, drive around, conduct Board meeting that become a success story and etc… it just means God expects more glory tagged on his name from us-why, “ because he is the one who gives us the ability…

On this issue, Jesus was forthright…He said,” For apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5. When talking to the Jews before crossing to the Promised Land, Moses was clear to them. He said, when you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you…Deut 8:10… In the next verses he warns, “Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day.  Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.  He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock.  He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you.(vs 11-16). Verse 17 sums all up…you may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” He continues,”t remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

How many of us are walking around thinking, “I am the best in this field… I have worked for my achievement… and the sad reality is, “we never give God airtime for all his goodness, as we praise ourselves for what we consider our achievements…..It’s saddening that history keeps repeating itself ,yet we rarely learn from history. In the Book of Daniel, the bible records of how one of the kings thought “it’s my achievement that has made me this prosperous”. While walking around his newly build palace, and saw how magnificent it was, King Nebchadnezzar felt such pride. He said “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty? “Daniel 4:30. Did you read that verse again….”for the glory of my Majesty, and not for the glory of God.. The bible records,” Even as the words were on his lips, a voice came from heaven, “This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. “vs 31-32

God’s verdict to King Nebuchadnezzar’s sin was clear,”You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox. He continues, “Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes. ”Vs 32

Later, after learning the lesson the hard way, in vs 37,the same King says,”  Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

It’s unfortunate that though God gave King Nebuchadnezzar a window of opportunity to learn his lesson the hard way, the same never happened to King Herod. The bible records,” On an appointed day, Herod dressed him in royal clothing, sat on the throne, and made a speech to them. (the people who had gathered under his command, to listen to him). Biblical scholars say Herod was a gifted Orator and thus moving masses of people with his speeches left them speechless and moved to the core. The bibles say, as he spoke,” The people shouted, ‘The voice of God, and not of a man!’ Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he didn’t give God the glory. He was eaten by worms and died.” (Acts 12:20-23).

What is worth noting is that “it’s the people who called him God but as many scholars have agreed, in his heart, he was of the same opinion to consider himself as high as God, in adulation and exaltation. He never lived to see another day, and worse still, God never gave him an opportunity to be buried decently “Worms ate his carcass as people watched!

What a sad thing that all the bible records is that “He never gave glory to God” as reason for his sudden death…My question is, if God were to come to earth now with such vengeance, how many of us will survive his wrath?

I have no better conclusion for this message than what Apostle Paul said, “For in him (God) we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ Acts 17:28

It’s time we took time to thank God for all he has made us to be. It’s not because you’re connected but it’s because God has all planned up for us. He knows where the enemy is. He knows whom he will alert to pray for us to have some safe passage and he has all our life figured out and the least we can do is to give him glory for both small and big achievements. God bless you

GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Psalms 46:1-3

The word refuge means a shelter, hope, trust. It speaks of a place of safety. During Bible times, when someone committed manslaughter he could flee to a city of refuge to escape the avenger. Yes, trouble comes into all of our lives, but we can seek refuge in the Lord. He protects us in times of trouble. Proverbs 18:10 says,” The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. This idea is expressed many times in the Bible. David always found refuge in the Lord when his enemies sought his life. Saul pursued David for many years, yet God always protected him. David knew that the Lord was watching over him.Psalm 18:2-3: The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies.

Psalm 46 is a strong biblical passage that reminds us that even in the face of trouble, God is our refuge and strength.”Infact the bible doesn’t talk about the absence of calamity, but God promises his presence in trying times. For Kenyans and me in Particular, August 7th 1998 rings in my mind or let me say our minds, as if it happened yesterday. For the Americans, September 11 was not the first, and sadly it will not be the last time we will see inhuman acts, from those walking in a human body like us. The goodness of all this is, we can always depend on God’s presence when tragedy strikes.” One Jew, When facing hard times and facing dearth daily, in concentration camps in Germany, wrote on the walls inside the Auschwitz Concentration Camp: ”I believe in the sun even when it is not shining. I believe in Love, even when I alone. I believe in God, even when he is silent. Even in the midst of tragic circumstance God is still present, even when it’s hard to see or perceive him.”

The word strength means power, might, boldness, to be mighty. When trials and trouble come, our strength is drained from us. Yet at these times God is able to strengthen us and help us to stand. We only need to ask Him for strength.

Isaiah 40:28-31: Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

It doesn’t matter how strong or weak we are, we all need God’s strength. Only He can sustain us in the trials of life! Psalm 73:25-26: Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. One time, David returned to Ziglag with his men and found it burned down and their families carried away as captives. What did he do? His men blamed him for it all. 1 Samuel 30:6 tells us: Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. When trials come do we strengthen ourselves in the Lord? Or do we try and make it on our own? God is always ready to strengthen us.

The third provision that God gives to His people is help. The word help means to assist. God provides refuge and strength to His people. But He also helps us in our trials. What’s more He doesn’t do this from a distance. He is right there with us to help us in our trials. Hebrews 13:5-6: For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we may boldly say: The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me? God doesn’t expect us to make it on our own. In fact, He knows that we can’t. It’s only our pride and fear that keep us from seeking His help.

Having hope of a better tomorrow is the oil that keeps you functioning, even when everything seems dead around you. Psalm 46 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The reality is that there will be difficult times, but God promises to be our refuge. When the walls of your life are shaken, it does not mean God has not failed you and me. He has promised to be with us in the middle of tragedy. We sometimes think that when we find ourselves in difficult circumstances that God has abandoned us, but this is not the case.” The Song God Leads His Dear Children Along.” was written by “George Young” after his home was burned to the ground:  He says in the song, ““Some through the water, something through the flood, some through the fire, but all through the blood. Some through great sorrow, but God gives us a song in the night season and all the day long.”

To magnify this point further, Isaiah the Prophet says, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.—–Remember you’re passing Through—-Never stop in the furnace-keep going because light is always at the end of the tunnel.

In light of God’s provision how should we respond to uncertainty, trials and conflict or even Covid and its variants, including Omicron? We should respond in faith, not in fear. If God is our refuge, strength and help shouldn’t we trust Him to take care of us? If calamity takes place on the earth, hasn’t God caused it or allowed it to happen? Therefore, we must respond in faith when turmoil comes into our lives. This is exactly what Job did when wave after wave of calamity broke upon him. He trusted in God’s goodness. He knew that the Lord would not let him down. The Psalmist said that even if the world was turned upside down he knew that God would take care of him.

When life becomes uncertain what do you do? What do I do? David found the help that he needed from the Lord. Do you run to the Lord when troubles come? You should!

When world events threaten to change our lives how do we handle it? Do we have a shelter for life’s storms? Is the Lord our refuge? Does He give us strength to stand? Or do we try and make it on your own? When your world is turned upside down how do you respond, with fear or with faith? God bless you

OVERCOMING BETRAYAL

Have you ever been betrayed, disappointed and hurt by someone so close to you? Have you ever felt pained because of the word you shared with someone in confidence, only to realize the same word isn’t private anymore? Sometime back, when going through marital issues, some woman friend used to confide in her closest friend. She knew all that was going on in her life. She would call her any time and every time. They had bonded and were comrades in good days and bad days. As the story goes, she knew all her troubles with her husband-from A-Z.

Whenever the heat was high in the marriage, it’s her she asked for advice, but as she struggled to keep her marriage, the only option left for her was divorce. She didn’t want to make a wrong choice, so she picked her mobile and called her friend…Leave him, she answered the call on the other end. Infarct, tomorrow, pass through any legal firm and pick divorce papers, sign them, and serve him to sign too. Unfortunately, she followed her friend’s advice word to word. She requested the legal firm to serve the husband the papers to sign, so that they may kick start the divorce process. He was served the papers and sure enough, he signed them. Inside her, she hoped he will refuse to sign those papers and open the door for dialogue, but with her eyes, she saw that door close indefinitely. The funny thing is, after leaving her home to get temporary shelter in her parents place, as she thinks of the next step to take or which route to take, the friend whom she confided in-moved-in with her husband. As we talk right now, they’re still married and have three children together.

It may be hurting to find your man was aware of your talks with your friend, but it pains to the core of your heart, to know that the person in the midst of your struggle, was the one making things work against you-and for their good.

Many people have been hurt and betrayed in this life. Such memories for those who haven’t healed only bring tears. You may be going through such form of betrayal or another type of hurt, but the reality is, there is nothing new under the sun. God, as a father, has not hidden from us the pain of his heart on how unreliable men and women are. Infact, the bible is one of the most open books with real life people sharing their problems of hurt, betrayal, disappointments and tears-which at times, you find yourself getting identified by them easily. When his best friend deserted to follow his son in rebelling against him, it seems it was the most painful moment to David the King. This was not only a friend, but a confidant, his counsellor and adviser in matters leadership to the nation. The bible says this about this man called Ahithophel(David’s counsellor).,” in those days, the advice Ahithophel gave was like that of one who inquires of God. That was how both David and Absalom regarded all of Ahithophel’s advice. ( 2 Samuel 16:23) . Imagine having such a man as your confidant and counselor? David was safe. His advisor’s word gets recognition biblically that his wise wisdom was always like “inquiring from God! What a great man to put close to you. In our African countries, most of the advisors to the presidents rarely give the needed advice or they get to the positions and look at it as a job more than giving presidents direction for life.David’s leadership was full of less error in judgement-but we now know he had the best counsellor in Ahithophel.

Unfortunately, when David was at his lowest in leadership, and wars of taking over his kingdom by his son was rife, it was Ahitophel who ran away from David first, and joined his rebellious son to fight the father. In pain, David cries, ”If an enemy were insulting me, I could endure it; if a foe were rising against me, I could hide. “He continues, ”But it is you, a man like myself, my companion, my close friend, With whom I once enjoyed sweet fellowship at the house of God, as we walked about among the worshipers.(Psalm 55:12-14).In this verse, we all see that Ahithophel was not only a good advisor to David, but he was a believer too. He was with David in Church and in the office. They were inseparable as comrades.

Can you imagine the pain that comes with such a betrayal? You want to cry and can’t hide anywhere, because your best friend knows all the locations you love hiding. He knows your private residence. He knows the keys to your house where they’re kept and has your private line too. Do you remember Judas Iscariot? He knew Jesus enough that he is the one who led those who killed our savior to where he used to lodge privately…The bible says,” Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests  and asked, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver him over to you?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver.  From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over. (Mathew 26:14-16).Those against Jesus didn’t know much of his private life with his disciples but it was Judas who showed them the way.

The pain that David felt was felt more by our Savior, as he saw his confidant and friend turn away from the gospel he knew so well, to embrace his haters in earnest, as they dropped few coins in his pocket for the mission.

What do you do when your husband or wife becomes your best enemy and hater? What will you say when the guy you confide in at work is actually the one working hard and secretly, to see you fall down or get sacked.

The bible has a remedy for all this. It says in Proverbs 3:15, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. “It continues, “in all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will direct your path.

It’s funny how we can trust our friends, family or those close to us with all our hearts than doing the same to the God who knows us all. It’s the same God who will reveal to you all the evil lodged in your friends and confidants hearts. When life threatens us, the one person to run to is not friends as our sister did, but God the father .He knows how to mend a broken relationship. He has the right dose to heal hurting hurts and broken spirits. Psalms 147:3 says, ”He(God),heals broken hearts and bounds up our wounds.

What is that wound in your heart that needs God’s intervention to bound it? Have you been betrayed, hurt and maligned by those you gave your total trust and support, if not confidence? Be encouraged and never panic as though something strange is happening to you. It has happened to many of God’s servants before, and if they overcame it, you will overcome it too…If David overcame by winning the battle against his son Absolom, which his confidant had supported- and Jesus overcame Judas’ betrayal by rising from the grave, I’m sure of one this, you will win this war and look back in days to come, and tell everyone who is hurting to hope in God, because he is the only hope we need, when faced with betrayal. God bless you and heal your wounded heart. Glory to his great and awesome name. Amen

THE DANGER OF LIVING A HYPOCRITICAL LIFE

Job (Not his real name) was an elder in church, and to many church members, he was the man to look to, in matters church. He was godly (as many new it), and with a wonderful family. Whenever they strolled to church, husband and wife in tow, and the children following, many would just wish to raise such a godly home. He was the solution to nearly everything, from giving occasional advice to pastors on how to run ministry, to meeting the young couples to show them how to conduct themselves, and serve each other-as a unified body of Christ, both materially, sexually as they respect each other as a couple. Yes, he was all this combined in one man.

On the other hand, the wife would talk in women conference on love and relationship. She was (still is a gifted) a gifted speaker to the women and the church at large. Truth be told, having raised children to teenage hood, and some adults, and all behaved and marrying properly, every adult couple has some clout to carry around, when talking about relationships and marriage. You nearly become authoritative in what you know, as many bend to listen to you-as they look forward to doing the same, to their growing families.

Unfortunately, for job, with all this virtues build in him, he was living a lie. In church, he projected this godly image, but out there, he was a different man all together. The wife was concerned of his lateness to come home, but his reply of “I was busy at work “was his reason”. The wife smelt a rat when she met a colleague of his, whom, out of friendly talk, she asked, “when do you close the office my dear-because this lateness at work is nearly breaking my marriage. Her friend, with love assured her that work stops at 5pm for everybody, and in many occasions, the husband leaves even before 4pm, because he has to pick the children from school. When he was asked, he turned abusive. In this home, this question on how long is too to arrive home would be met with kicks and slaps. The children at home, who had not left became withdrawn and afraid. He became abusive to his children too. Abusive words with the ‘f’ word being frequent in his mouth, was always a daily expectation.  With this kind of revelation, this woman of God just turned to prayer and tried her best to avoid conflict with him.

To Job, this silence from the wife and not asking too much was clear license that he could do whatever he wanted to do, come whatever time he wanted, and still find someone at home waiting for him with open arms. The funny thing is, the man of “God Job” never stopped going to church. Every Sunday, wife and kids would be bundled in the family car and walk tow to tow to the house of God for worship. As worshippers greeted them with praise the Lord, and he would answer Amen-the children would wonder which God-but they could not talk. They moved infront, sat on their seat where elders sat, but the sad reality is, even seating infront of the church with his kids, was a great catalyst to push the children away from God. The children grew up to hate this God, and the children who moved out of home, had no regard for God and godliness.

At times, the wife was not happy when the invitations came for them to go and talk to couples but what would she do, if he got reminded by Job her hubby of this Saturday family conference-of which he was a keynote speaker-and they needed to go together. It’s funny but Job would talk of love, tolerance and respect for one another, as everyone agreed to him, except his wife and the few remaining children.

It’s a sad reality, but Job never ended well. One night, after leaving work, he had visited a girlfriend, in one of the many houses he used to hide, as the wife patiently waited for him at home. This night, as it came to be known, he used the blue pill- and it was his certificate to the mortuary. Viagra, as it’s known, doesn’t work well with those with certain medical conditions. It wasn’t long before the girlfriend called the neighbors to help her take a patient to hospital. Before they would even think much, one of the neighbors-(anurse) said-don’t rush him to hospital now. He is already dead, just call the police.

Of course the police came, as the girl wondered how to explain things out, yet the truth has to be said. His family was contacted, the woman had to write a statement and the church was bowed down to hear what had happened. It was a sad funeral with everyone bowed down and ashamed of themselves, both family, friend and enemy. He was given a burial yes, but many had learnt one or two lessons on hypocrisy, that cannot be taught in a classroom.

Sad how we can do our best to hide our secret sins, but when they come to our doorsteps to haunt us, we are not even there to explain anything. Pastors were sad. The wife and children could only cry and wish it had not ended that way for their dad, but reality hit home hard and badly.

How many of us live such lives. We are godly outside but inside us, we are fighting against God and his word. When talking to his prophet in the bible, God was distressed with the kind of life his people lived. He took Ezekiel in the spirit and said to him,” “Son of man, look toward the north.” So I looked, and in the entrance north of the gate of the altar I saw this idol of jealousy. He continues,”  “Son of man, do you see what they are doing—the utterly detestable things the Israelites are doing here, things that will drive me far from my sanctuary? But you will see things that are even more detestable.” Ezekiel 8:5-6

As though that was not enough, God brought Ezekiel the Prophet to the entrance to the court. He says,” I looked, and I saw a hole in the wall. Then God” said to me, “Son of man, now dig into the wall.” So I dug into the wall and saw a doorway there. And he said to me, “Go in and see the wicked and detestable things they are doing here.” So I went in and looked, and I saw portrayed all over the walls all kinds of crawling things and unclean animals and all the idols of Israel.  In front of them stood seventy elders of Israel, and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan was standing among them. Each had a censer in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense was rising. He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his own idol? They say, ‘The Lord does not see us; the Lord has forsaken the land.’ ” Again, he said, “You will see them doing things that are even more detestable.” Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the Lord, and I saw women sitting there, mourning the god Tammuz. He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? You will see things that are even more detestable than this.” Ezekiel 8:7-15

God was not yet done with his prophet. He brought him into the inner court of the house of the Lord, and there at the entrance to the temple, between the portico and the altar, were about twenty-five men. With their backs toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, they were bowing down to the sun in the east. He said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the people of Judah to do the detestable things they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence and continually arouse my anger? Look at them putting the branch to their nose! Ezekiel 8:16-18

When I think about this verses, I note that many in the church of that day, lived as hypocritically as Job did. They practiced Church with no regard for the God they serve. The same made Eli’s family be wiped out, ”and God’s injunction on his children was “ they had no regard for the LORD! 1 Samuel 2:12.

It’s so sad that the majority of the men and women, who serve the Lord in our churches as elders, some as pastors, and others heading different branches in our ministries, have no regard for God! That’s the life that Job lived and practiced, but a blue pill made him die and untimely death, and in the hands of a prostitute.

As I challenge myself, I challenge you too as sons and daughters of God, to live as God expects of us. The writer to the Hebrews sums this up well. He says,” Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe, for our God is a consuming fire Hebrews 12:28.God bless you

How to overcome depression

Yitzhak Rabin, the commander of Israel’s military in 1967 never knew going to seek advice from someone he trusted, would sink him into deep depression. As Israel’s founding father, many in Israel loved Ben Gurion, and treated him as an elder statesman, including Mr Yitzhak Rabin.By that time, Egypt was drumming war songs, and there was all possibilities of an imminent attack, from both Syria and Egypt, yet Israel was UN-prepared for war. In this moment of crisis, all eyes turned to the founding father of Israel David Ben-Gurion, the man who led Israel from the dark days of the war of independence in 1948.By the time Mr Rabin was coming for advice, Ben Gurion thought it was a mistake to go to war. Instead of lifting Rabin’s spirits, he re-primanded him and triggered a major crisis. He fell into depression and had to be hospitalized. Yitzhak Rabin later says in his letters, “The old man received me warmly, but instead of fortifying my spirits, he gave me a dressing down. He said to him,” You’ve led the state of Israel into a grave situation, and you’ve to bear the responsibility for it! When i left him, Yitzhak continues, i was despondent and it would be days before his words stopped ringing in my ears! Immediately, after hearing this words from the man he trusted the most, Mr Rabin sunk into depression.Yitzhak as head of the army, was a man under intense physical and emotional pressure. His mental anguish, as days went by, had becomes obvious. Deputy military commander Zvi Dinstein noticed his boss’s lack of sense in his talks, as he claimed to hear noises of bombardments from other sources.. As far as they were concerned, as Zvi says, “there was no noise, yet their General was panicking on a broad daylight. In this moment of mental anguish, Yitzhak collapsed and had to be rushed to hospital. The general public was unaware of this twist of things in the army, and were anxiously waiting to get news from the head of the army on the way forward, yet little did they know, “he was depressed and hospitalized.Prime Minister Levi Eshkol even remarked, “Can you imagine at this moment, if the general public heard that the chief of staff has collapsed, what kind of depression it would cause to our nation? All this was hid under wraps, and no citizen, plus the enemies of Israel knew of Rabin’s depressed state, until later when he wrote it in his book.Ben Gurion in his moment of need, planted doubts in his heart, about his ability as commander of Israel’s Army.

Rabin later told his wife, “Maybe i was wrong, or maybe i took too much responsibility in my hands that i could not handle!

During his moment with depression, and due to public Demand, Moshe Dayan was chosen to lead the force. Israel later won the war, but the good news is, Mr Rabin recovered from depression before the war begun. He even participated in the war, though under Moshe’s guidance. Yrs later, Yitzhak Rabin joined politics and became the fifth Prime Minister of Israel, serving two terms in office, 1974–77 and 1992 until his assassination in 1995.It’s so sad to note many people dying of depression, are victims of the way they were treated by the people they trusted the most! Imagine going to your husband or wife, only to hear from their mouth, words that turns your world upside down. Maybe it’s words that are lorded with fireworks, and in the presence of his or your relatives, while showing everyone how unworthy you’re.In another instance, a certain man was hospitalized because his urine was non-stop. This man was depressed because the woman he loved the most, and was ready to marry, had suddenly changed her mind, on the 11th hr. The wedding was set in 2 days and he had paid the dowry, and done everything as it should be, only to hear of other news that turned him down. As Yizhak Rabin, he could not handle it.This is not to men alone but women have been affected the more. I wonder how it feels, to realize someone has been raising another family that you’re not aware of, only to hear it in the funeral of a relative on his side. When the relative is going down the grave, you realize for 15 yrs, you’ve been a 1st wife, and someone else is a recognized a second wife. To add insult to an injury, everyone at home knows her except you! She even has more than 3 kids with him, yet you knew nothing about this, over the yrs.To others, bosses have been a thorn in their flesh, when the word depression comes to their mind! Sometimes the most careless people, who’re given to bad language, are the bosses in our many offices. Since he pays you, he feels he can say anything any time, and without any remorse. We thank God for those who care of what they say to their staff, but as some brother told me, he was so depressed in the office when the boss was so much in him, until he just walked out.He says it was the grace of God that prevented him from being knocked by a car, as he walked aimlessly towards Uhuru Park in Nairobi Kenya. The bible says,”A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. [Proverbs 25:11-13] . How we talk to each other matters to God and us more than anything. Another verse in the bible says, “The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil. The apostle James, in his writings says, “the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell. Can you imagine, how energetic Yitzhak would be, if Ben Gurion told him, ,”Go in this might of yours and save Israel from the hand of “EGYPT AND SYRIA”?. When God spoke those words to Gideon in Judges 6:14, he was trembling and unsure of himself, just as Yitzah Rabin was. Gideon went ahead to win the war with God’s help, but Yitzhak was in hospital nursing depression, after Ben Gurion’s untimely words.Personally, it’s my belief that depression can significantly reduce by up-to 60%, if we cared to talk right words and weighed what we said to one another, both in our homes, offices and street corners.Again, this is the time to take inventory of what you said to people that hurt them the most and ask God to forgive you! Most of us are not in jail and yet in heaven, records have many people who died because of depression, just because of our careless words thrown to them aimlessly, by our untamed tongue! You will not be right most of the time, but it’s prudent to care what we say, before we say it to other people. Don’t be a Ben Gurion to anyone in your life. Be like God to Gideon all the time, even when you can’t understand how he\s will be able to handle the situation at hand. Most of the problem we face in this life only needs an encouragement from someone who cares about us. When people run to you with an issue, it’s because they know you have what it takes to help them. In such moments, never allow the devil to use your mouth to discourage others from their God given assignment. Even if you don’t know what to say, just commit them to the God who knows all, and assure them you will be praying for them. May God help us all. Be blessed in Jesus name

UNDERSTANDING DREAMS AND VISIONS

Never as a believer underestimate the power of dreams. Dreams are not premonitions as many people think. Dreams come from God and in many occasions, God used them to warn, encourage and make his people know of his future plans. The Lord said to Israel “When there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, reveal myself to them in visions, I speak to them in dreams. [Numbers 12:6]

Daniel is said to have excelled in wisdom (10 times) and could understand dreams and visions.

A dream is a release of revelation (natural or spiritual) that comes at a time when your body is at peace and you are settled. God loves to speak to us when we are most settled and at rest, and most dreams normally appear between 4 and 5am. Dreams are usually in picture form (James Goll).

• Like parables we must press beyond what we see and hear to get the hidden meaning (Mark 4:10-11).

• Revelations from the spiritual realm are usually communicated in symbolic or coded forms through dreams and visions.

• Because the spiritual realm rules in the affairs of men (Daniel 4:26), kings surround themselves with magicians, astrologers, diviners and other wise men who can help them understand what the heavenly realm says.

• The one who rules from the heavenly realm, helping to solve mysteries and complex problems eventually influences the King.

• Joseph in Egypt ascended from prison to leadership because of understanding and interpreting Pharaoh’s dreams and offering strategic solutions. Daniel served Nebuchadnezzar, Belshazzar, and Cyrus because of wisdom and understanding of dreams .

• King Solomon asked for wisdom in a dream and was granted in the dream. But he established it by prayer in the earth realm

• Joseph in the NT took Mary as his wife and saved the life of Baby Jesus because he understood dream language (Mathew 2 and 3).

• God has promised to pour in the last days, His spirit to prophesy dream dreams and see visions.

In the last days, God says,I will pour out my Spirit on all people.

Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions,

your old men will dream dreams (Joel 2)

HOW TO HANDLE DREAMS AND VISIONS.

• Learn to quiet your soul. “Be still and know that I am God”( Ps46:10)

• Maintain a dream journal and record the substance (Daniel 7:1)

• Consider the context, numbers, symbols, colors, etc and note them down.

• Seek discernment and understanding (Daniel 7:15, 8:15, Mk 4:10)

• Nullify demonic dreams and visions. In my case, when i dream of a death of a person i know,i always understand that God wants me to pray for the said person and cancel the spirit of dearth surrounding him. Use psalms 118:17 (Num 30:14, Isaiah 54:17). Unfortunately for me,i dreamed of dearth of a relative, never woke up to cancel it and they died just as i saw it.It was a terrible accident that happened and i wished i had prayed…so don’t ignore such. One basic prayer for this is this, immediately you wake up,say in Jesus name i declare “john[the one you dreamed about] will not die but live to declare the goodness of the Lord,on this earth

• Establish Godly dreams and visions (1 Kings 3:5,15, Num 30:14).

• Where necessary, fast and pray for insight and interpretation. Remember interpretation of revelation belongs to God (Dan 2:28, Gen 41:16).

Some Common Types of Dreams (James Goll).

1. Dreams of your house-

Normally represent your life or the church. The rooms represent activities eg family room speaks of family, while bedroom speaks of intimacy. Store rooms speak of reserves etc.

2. Dreams of going to school –

signify learning or testing. Tests may be for promotion, or if you find yourself searching for the next class, it may mean need for guidance or you have graduated from a test. Repeating a class you have passed means you have opportunity to learn from past failures.

High school dreams may be a sign you are enrolled in the school of the Holy Spirit.

3. Dreams of Vehicles –

Usually indicate a call on your life, i.e. the vehicle of purpose that carries you from one point to another. Cars, planes, buses, etc normally symbolize the type or size of ministry you are or will be engaged in.

Note the make, model or who is driving. Is it you or someone else?

A faceless driver may refer to someone yet to appear in the future or the Holy Spirit as the driver-guide.

4. Dreams of Storms

Often hint of things on the horizon – both dark, negative storms of demonic attack for purposes of prayer and intercession, and spiritual warfare, as well as imminent showers of blessings coming like tsunamis (Isaiah 59:19).

5. Dreams of being naked or exposed

Indicate you are becoming spiritually transparent or vulnerable or getting into shameful pose. They are meant to drive you into greater intimacy with God and show areas you need to be open to God’s working in.

6. Dreams of birth

Normally indicate new seasons of purpose and destiny coming forth in your life. But it could also be real pregnancy coming forth.

7. Dreams of relatives, alive and dead.

Normally indicate generational issues in your life –blessings and curses especially if they involve grandparents. But it may also mean your attachment to these people or what they represent. Seek discernment as to what each relative represents.

8. Dreams of snakes

Snakes represent the ancient serpent, the devil and his demonic army at work through accusation, lies, attacks or even witchcraft. Demons may also be represented by fearful animals such as spiders, bears or crocodiles. The spider with its deadly poison often symbolizes witchcraft and the occult at work.

9. Dogs and cats

On the dark side dogs which growl or attack or bite reveal a friend about to betray you while on the positive side, they indicate friendship, loyalty, protection or good feelings. Cats normally, depending on how they appear represent love, being smothered, but on the negative side represent occult and witchcraft.

10. Going through doors

Normally indicate change is coming upon your life, and doors are opening for you. The doors represent new ways, new opportunities and new advancements on the way. Dreaming of going up in elevators or escalators indicate you are rising faster into your purpose or calling, while staircases represent step-by-step process. Downward steps or descent mean demotion.

11. Dreams of clocks and watches

Often reveal what time or stage it is in your life or the need for a wake up call in the church or nation. A clock pointing close to midnight normally indicates time is running out, and it is time to be alert and watchful.

12. Dreams of taking a shower

Normally reflect things that are being flushed or cleansed out of your life through showers, bathtubs or toilets.

Some important Keys to dream interpretation

13. Record the dream immediately after waking up.

14. Reduce the dream to its simplest form. Cut out too many details. Journalize and date it and note the place.

15. Context determines interpretation. Also consider culture.

16. Did you have two or more dreams in one night? The message may be one, but in various forms and it shows how urgent it is,just as Pharaoh dreamed.

17. Where are you in the dream? Are you observing or actively participating or are you the focus?

18. What emotions, thoughts or impressions are you left with when you wake up? Are you troubled or excited?

19. What colors did you observe?

Eg Amber may represent the glory of God,

Black may represent sin, death or famine.

Blue may represent heaven or the Holy Spirit.

Crimson/scarlet – blood atonement, sacrifice.

Purple – kingship or royalty.

Red – Bloodshed or war.

White – purity, light, righteousness.

20. Test your dreams against the Word of God: do they contradict the principles of the written Word? Do they glorify Jesus and point people to Him? Does the dream build up your faith towards a closer walk with the Lord Jesus?

21. Dreams should be interpreted on a personal basis first.

22. The key to proper interpretation is to ask questions, questions, questions but pray too.

CONCLUSION:

Always write down the dreams you get and act on them as a servant of God. He reveals mysteries of what is ahead of us, what we need to know and what we should do as his servants through dreams. Let us beware of this great communication channel from God the father. Be blessed

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE JEHOVAH WITNES

In the yr of our Lord 1870, at the age of eighteen, a story is told of an ex- Congregationalist by the name of Charles Taze Russell who started a Bible class in Pittsburgh. In 1876, the class elected Russell as their Pastor.
In 1879 founded the “Herald of the Morning” , which later developed into what is known today as “The Watchtower Announcing Jehovah’s Kingdom.” Today this publication has grown to over seventeen million copies per month in over one hundred languages.
In 1884, Russell incorporated the “Zion’s Watch Tower Tract Society” at Pittsburgh. Today this organization has branches in over one hundred countries, and it has missionary works in over two hundred and fifty. With over one-half million volunteer workers, the Jehovah’s Witnesses have become a serious threat to true bible believers throughout the world.
Russell died in 1916, and Judge J.F. Rutherford took over the Society’s leadership.

It was under Rutherford’s leadership that the group took the name “Jehovah’s Witnesses,” and Society headquarters moved to Brooklyn. Rutherford died in 1942, and Nathan Knorr took control and boosted the membership to over two million. In 1961, the Society published its own “translation” of the scriptures, called “The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures.” Knorr died in 1977. As of 1996, the president of the Watchtower Society was Milton Henschel.

In a nutshel, this are some few things to watch about the Jehovah Witnesses
1:IN THE JEHOVAL WITNESS’S BELIEF SYSTEM, THE TRINITY IS DENIED

According the Bible, God is a Trinity. As all humans are a trinity (soul, body, and spirit–1 Ths. 5:23), God is also a Trinity. In Genesis 1:26, God said, “Let us make man in our image. . .” In Genesis 11:7, God said, “. . . .let us go down, and there confound their language. . .” The terms “us” and “our” obviously refer to the Holy Trinity. So the Trinity is found in the very early chapters of the Bible.
In the New Testament, we can see all three Members of the Trinity at the Baptism of Jesus in Matthew chapter three. God the Father is speaking from Heaven. God the Son is being baptized, and God the Holy Ghost is descending like a dove. When Jesus gave the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20, He said in verse 19, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
So one can clearly see that God’s word testifies to the fact that He is a Trinity. However, the Jehovah’s Witnesses deny this altogether. The book, “Let God Be True”, (Watchtower Bible & Tract Soc., 1952) says the following on page 92: “The trinity doctrine was not conceived by Jesus or the early Christians.” Then on page 93, this book says: “…the plain truth is that this is another of Satan’s attempts to keep the God-fearing person from learning the truth of Jehovah and His Son Jesus Christ.”
I John 5:7 says, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” Who are we to believe, the Jehovah’s Witnesses or God’s word?
2:THE DEITY OF CHRIST DENIED
As the Second Member of the Trinity, Jesus Christ stands co-existent in Eternity with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. There are many proofs in the Scriptures for the Deity of Christ. Some are as follows:
(1) In Zechariah 12:10, Jehovah speaks of the future return of Christ and says, “. . . They shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son . . . .” This is spoken again in Revelation 1:7, which is clearly a reference to Christ Himself, but in Zechariah 12:10 GOD said, “. . . They shall look upon me whom they have pierced . . . .” The One that they pierced was Jesus Christ! So, in Zechariah 12:10, God is saying that He is Jesus Christ.
(2) In John 1:1, John 1:14, 1 John 1:1, and in 1 John 5:7, Jesus is called “the Word,” and John 1:1 says that”the Word was God.”
(3) Thomas referred to Jesus as “My Lord and my God” in John 20:28, and Jesus did not see the need to correct him.
(4) Isaiah 7:14 gives us the prophecy of the Virgin Birth of Christ and states that His name would be “Immanuel.” Matthew 1:23 tells us that this word means “God with us.”
(5) In Isaiah 9:6, Jesus is called “Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
The Bible certainly would not say this about anyone less than God.
(6) In John 10:30, Jesus says, “I and my Father are one.” Jesus is not a lesser god; He is ONE with the Father.
(7) Micah 5:2 tells us that Jesus is “from everlasting.”
(8) In John 8:58, Jesus tells the Pharisees,”Before Abraham was, I am.
He claimed to be the “I AM”of Exodus 3:14, which is God Almighty.
(9) Jesus allowed others to worship Him (John 9:38; Matt. 14:33; and Luke 24:52), which was forbidden, unless He was God (Rev. 22:9).
(10) Jesus forgave sins (Mark 2:5), which only God can do (Mark 2:7).
(11) The Lord Jesus Christ is omnipresent (Matt. 18:20; 28:20; II Cor. 13:14; I John 5:7). We know He is God because He is capable of being everywhere at once.
(12) Jesus is omniscient (Mark 11:2-6; Matt. 12:40). He is God because He knows all things.
(13) The Lord Jesus is also omnipotent (Rev. 19:6; Matt. 28:18). He has all power.
(14) According to John 1, 1 John 1, Colossians 1, and Hebrews 1, Jesus Christ is the Creator of Genesis 1!
(15) Jesus never sinned! Romans 3:23 says that ALL HAVE SINNED and come short of the glory of God, but Jesus did not sin (2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Peter 3:18). So Jesus had to be God.
The Scriptures are clear that Jesus Christ is Deity, yet the Jehovah’s Witnesses deny this truth. Here are a few blasphemous remarks made by the JW’s over the years concerning the Lord Jesus Christ:
“. . . he was the first and direct creation of Jehovah God” (The Kingdom is at Hand, p. 46, 47, 49).
“If Jesus were God, then during Jesus’ death, God was dead in the grave” (Let God Be True, p. 91).
“. . . the true Scriptures speak of God’s Son, the Word, as ‘a god’.” He is a “mighty god,” but not the Almighty God, who is Jehovah” (The Truth Shall Make You Free, p. 47).
Again, who are we to believe, the Jehovah’s Witnesses or God’s word?
3:LITERAL RESURRECTION DENIED
The Bible speaks of a literal and physical resurrection, but the Watchtower Society teaches that Jesus only rose from the grave spiritually. Their literature speaks for itself:
“Therefore the bodies in which Jesus manifested himself to his disciples after his return to life were not the body in which he was nailed to a tree. They were merely materialized for the occasion, resembling on one or two occasions the body in which he died . . . .” (The Kingdom Is At Hand, pg. 259)
“Our Lord’s human body . . . did not decay or corrupt . . . whether it was dissolved into gasses or whether it is still preserved somewhere . . . no one knows.” (Studies In The Scriptures, Vol. 2, pg. 129)
According to the words of Jesus Christ Himself, He is NOT merely a spirit being. He is a literal and physical risen Savior. In Luke 24:36,the disciples see the risen Christ and they supposed they had seen a spirit (vs. 37).
Then Jesus cleared the matter up for everyone when He said, “. . . Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.” (Luk. 24:38-39)
When Jesus appeared to Thomas He said, “. . . Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.” (John. 20:27)
The risen Christ had the crucifixion scars in His body to PROVE that He had been physically resurrected from the dead. If Jesus didn’t rise physically then He lied in John 2:18-22 when He said that His “body” would rise in three days. He didn’t say His spirit would rise. He said that His BODY would rise. When He arose His disciples actually REMEMBERED this prophecy and believed.
The bodily resurrection of Christ is a fundamental Bible doctrine. The salvation of a person’s soul rests upon this doctrine, because if Jesus didn’t physically rise from the dead AS HE SAID HE WOULD, then we’re all lost and going to Hell according to 1 Corinthians 15:12-19 (JW’s included).
4:LITERAL SECOND COMING DENIED
If the Lord Jesus Christ was resurrected literally and physically from the dead, and if He appeared physically to His disciples, then His Second Coming must also be literal and physical.
Acts 1:11 tells us that Jesus will return “in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” Jesus ascended into Heaven literally, physically, and visibly, so He will return “in like manner.”
The JW’s deny this. They insist that the Second Coming of Christ will be SPIRITUAL, rather than literal and physical:
“Christ Jesus comes, not again as a human, but as a glorious spirit person.” (Let God Be True, pg. 196)
“Since no earthly men have ever seen or can see the Father, they will be unable to see the glorified Son.” (Let God Be True, pg. 197)
“It is a settled Scriptural truth, therefore, that human eyes will not see him at his second coming, neither will he come in a fleshy body.” (The Truth Shall Make You Free, pg. 295)
The word of God says otherwise. Paul says in Titus 2:13 that we should be LOOKING for that blessed hope and the glorious APPEARING of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ. If the JW’s are right in saying that we will not be able to see Christ, then why did Paul tell us to be LOOKING for His APPEARING?
Revelation 1:7 says, “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”
In Matthew 24:30, Jesus Himself says, “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
There’s nothing spiritual or invisible about the Second Coming of Christ. The “clouds” will be literal (Rev. 1:7), as will the “fire” (2 Ths. 1:8), the “saints” (1 Ths. 3:13), the “mountains and rocks” (Rev. 6:16), and the thousand- year reign (Rev. 20:1-7). A “spiritual” or “invisible” Second Coming is totally foreign to the written revelation of God.
5:LITERAL BURNING DENIED
The JW’s have traditionally believed and taught that there is no eternal punishment for the wicked:
“. . . the Bible hell is mankind’s common grave…” (Let God Be True, pg. 92. )
“The doctrine of a burning hell where the wicked are tortured eternally after death cannot be true . . . .” (Let God Be True, pg. 99)
We call it to the reader’s attention that it was none other than the Lord Jesus Christ who first used the term “hell fire” (Mat. 5:22), and it was Jesus Christ who said in Matthew 25:41, “. . . Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.”
A JW believes that Hell is only the grave that everyone goes to at death.
He believes that the saved ones in the graves will be given eternal life on earth after the White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20:11-15, while the unsaved in the graves will be annihilated once and for all in the Lake of Fire.
JW’s refuse to believe that God will punish the wicked forever in the Lake of Fire. Of course, the Scriptures say something entirely different:
(1) There is no FIRE in the grave, but there certainly is fire in the “hell” of the Bible (Luk. 16:23; Deu. 32:22; Mat. 5:22; 18:9; Jas. 3:6).
(2) No one PRAYS from the grave, but they certainly do in Hell (Luk. 16:24; Jon. 2:2).
(3) Hell was originally made for the Devil and his angels (Mat. 25:41), but the grave was not.
(4) A Christian’s SOUL does not go to the grave at death
(Phi. 1:21-23; 2 Cor. 5:1-10; 1 Ths. 5:10). Only the BODY goes to the grave. An unsaved man’s body also goes to the grave at death, but his SOUL goes to a place of TORMENT and FLAMES (Luk. 16:22-23).
(5) The grave cannot possibly be Hell because Jesus said it would be better to enter into life (eternal life) without a hand, a foot, or an eye, than to go to Hell (Mat. 18:8-9). How could it be “better” if Hell is only the grave where there is no suffering at all? According to Jesus Christ, Hell is a lot WORSE than losing a hand, a foot, or an eye forever.
(6) Annihilation cannot be true because the Bible uses such terms as “shame and everlasting contempt” (Dan. 12:2) and “torment . . . forever” (Rev. 14:11). Shame and torment are sufferings that are experienced by a LIVING BEING, not an annihilated corpse.
God is an ETERNAL Being; therefore, an eternal payment is required for sin (Mar. 9:44-48; Isa. 66:22-23). You can have a FAIR TRIAL, or you can have a FREE PARDON. In a fair trial before God, you will be eternally damned to Hell because you are a sinner against a Holy God. God will have no choice but to sentence you to Hell forever.
Friend, be not deceived by the Jehovah’s Witnesses! They are false teachers and their doctrines are dangerous. To be fore-warned is to be fore-armed. Above all, if you are in this religion without knowing this fact, it’s time to make a turn. Jesus loves you enough to make you suffer for lack of knowledge.God bless you

JUDGE NOT-LEST YOU BE JUDGED

The murder of Karen Koslow in March 12 1992 was one of the most reported in the American history. Her husband Jack Koslow, though rich, famous and living a luxury life-and in a neighborhood where the top American rich  lived, could not put his thoughts together to even imagine he can be attacked in his house, and lose his wife suddenly and without warning.  When he found strength to go to his neighbor’s house to seek for help, his wife had been dead for 4 hrs and he had injuries that could not be explained. The police rushed him to hospital for  immediate medical attention as investigation began to determine who killed his wife and for what reason.

As the life of the rich is, Koslow had the gates to keep the bad people out. He had high tech security systems to watch and give alarms for  any intrusion from outside, but unfortunately, even on this dreadful night, his alarm system wasn’t functioning- thus his running to his neighbor for help. The police had to know why it never worked, yet he had not reported any security breakdown to the company that managed it.When the police rushed to his mansion, Karen had been dead for hrs. In their bedroom, she lay there dead. Her throat was cut and with a knife that belongs to them.

Her body had other blunt force marks and injuries that drew a lot of attention from the forensic expert and government investigation bodies. The man called in to help unravel this mystery, a forensic body examiner- a Mr Peerwani could not believe his eyes with the extend of the murder. His first impression was clear-she was brutally murdered and (according to him), the brutality of this kind of murder is obvious-“THE CRIME OF PASSION”.

With his prediction on the events of that night, the police, media and everyone who followed that story-suddenly implicated the husband Jack Koslow. The public was keen to know more. Jack was in the midst of a mess he could not solve, unless God intervenes. Everyone had become the jury and judge. He was responsible for the murder. Police rushed to his hospital bed and made him secured. People were enraged all over. Media houses started telling rumors and gossip from unreliable sources, of how Karen was enduring in the marriage-and how they had sought counselling sometime before, just to prove that they had a rocky marriage. Funny enough, when examining Jack Koslow, the doctors noticed bite marks in his hands, thus cementing what they had heard from the Forensic expert Mr Peerwani, about this “crime of passion ideology.

When Jack was interviewed his accounts of that night were very sketchy. All he could remember was seeing Karen on the floor dead, trying to raise the alarm that never worked and him being attacked by unknown people. To add insult to injury, he even requested the authorities, from his hospital bed, to attend his wife’s funeral. The tongue of men, both public and media houses went viral. With police protection, he was there to see his wife to the grave. According to everyone, Jack was feigning love when he was fully involved in the execution of his wife.

On the other hand, his family came to defend him. On Camera and in view of everybody, his adopted daughter from his first marriage, though living with her mother waxed lyrical. She stood firm to defend her dad and in everyone’s eyes, the love between the daughter and her father was inseparable. Though she didn’t live with the Koslow’s, she would visit as often or live with them for some time if she so wished. Other family and friends also added to her voice to declare how harmless Jack Koslow was.

As authorities were pinning their last moves on how to nab Jack Koslow and jail him for the murder of his wife, a breakthrough call came in. Some young man was having knowledge of what happened, and his conscience was eating him up. Though not the murderer, his friend Jeffrey Dillinghan had come to him with the weapons used in the murder, plus the cloth, requesting him to do away with the murder evidence. Though he never questioned him up, he got wind of the news when it was public and started fallowing it. The police had initially suspected Jack Koslow but the truth was, that two people, Jeffrey Dillingham and Brian Dennis Salter, had attacked the Koslows, with Dillingham beating them and Salter slashing their throats. After the attack they stole a wristwatch worth $1,600 and $200 in cash from a wallet.

The other part that played now like a movie, was that Jack’s Daughter, who had waxed lyrical in defending his dad on Camera, was actually the one who sent his boyfriend and his friend to kill his parents, to pave was for her inheriting the wealth.

She knew all the password to door bells and alarms. She took his friends through all the process of entering his dad’s home.He literally taught them of every surrounding of the house. Even the dad’s bedroom code was with her. As a daughter, there was no room for suspicion for her since they all were a close with the dad.

The rich, as it’s common with our days, have gates to keep the bad people out and high tech security systems to watch and give alarms for any intrusion from outside, but they forget how to handle the enemy lurking and dining in their midst, all ready to do anything to have it all for himself or herself-all because of greed. Behind those mansion walls, the rich think they’re safe, but not gates or guard dogs, or even on rotation police visibility can protect them from the enemy within. It’s only God who can. They enjoy the fruits of financial success but of course, in the history of man on this planet, there are some who do not need to earn a living. They’re the beneficiaries of a different kind of cash flow, just because they’ve been born and bred in the home full of cash on request, and sometimes, on demand. They don’t even know how the money is made, but they’re so privileged to be so close to it, that they lose the taste and desire to look for it.  Jacks Adopted daughter Kristie from his first marriage, who lived with her mother was behind all the Jack Koslow went through. She wanted it all and on short notice but she lost it all. She was jailed for life and her case can only (maybe) re-considered in 2027. Jack Koslow, in bitterness, requested the courts to give her death penalty.

Beloved, do you now see why the bible says Judge not, that ye be not judged? The bible then continues,” For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.( Matthew 7:1-3)

It’s so funny how we are so quick to point a finger at someone, even when we can’t fathom a thing from what has happened. Our nature as humans rushes to judge so quickly, even without considering how the decision and our words may pain us later. There is no better example from the bible, on why we should not be quick to judge someone, than the example of our beloved Biblical David. When Prophet Nathan came to him, he said, “There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle, but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him. “Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him.”

In verse 5, David was infuriated. The bible says, “David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, “As surely as the LORD lives, the man who did this deserves to die! He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity.”

At this point, Nathan had to drop the Bombshel.”  “You are the man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: `I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. Why did you despise the word of the LORD by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’ 2 Samuel 12:1-11.

In the courts of heaven, David had just pronounced his own judgment, even when he thought it was someone else at fault. That’s what happens to us often. We implicate people, judge and throw dirt at some who may not have any clue of our hate and rumors. Jack Koslow was innocent but the forensic examiner could only say “It’s a crime of Passion!. Imagine how he felt, when reality reached his doorsteps? I bet he must have wished he had not drawn such a conclusion at all. How about the public and the media houses who for two weeks, paraded Jack Koslow in their gossip forums and made decisions that were wrong about him, yet he was an innocent victim of a murder went wrong?

Can we pray that the Kristie’s who are walking around as innocent people, and made others suffer, that God may bring their sin out! It has been said that most people in jail are innocent ones who just responded to a distress call, only to be branded murderers, all because they had the first account of what happened-and had no words to convince the courts they were innocent.

When talking to the church of his time, the Apostle James said,” Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. James 1:19

In our days, what is happening is the reverse of this verse. We are quick to speak and slow to hear.

If we did what God says, we may come to realize this, most of the people we said wrong accusing things about, are actually victims of our hate, and if reality is played out, we will be ashamed to our face, and wish to swallow our words, just like what happened in the Koslow’s case. May God help us be sensitive to what we say and do, so that all of us may live in peace and harmony with one another, just as God desires of us. Have a blessed time in the Lord.Amen

THE COVID TEST FOR CHRISTIANS

Have you ever looked at a building and just felt awed by its magnificence and splendor of design and make? In the 90’s while on a school tour in a certain city, children from a rural school could not hold on. They literally told the driver to drive into the compound of a great mall, for them to just stare and gaze at a building. One of them remarked, ”Teacher, why do we look so small here?

When it comes to appearance, the John Hancock Tower too was an awe of its kind in the 70’s.Infact, it was unveiled in 1976 after some magnificent Architectural work of design by the I.M. Pei & Partners. On the surface, its striking appearance won hearts and accolades from the architectural community, and the public at large.

By design and look, it was magnificent and to the point-according to our understanding- but unfortunately, the same building was plagued with unseen forces that the designers did not consider before embarking on the project of building it.

One of the issues the building encountered was to do with the windows: They were falling out and crashing to the pavement hundreds of feet below. In the 1992 book “Why Buildings Fall Down,” authors Matthys Levy and Mario Salvadori explained that this was due to unanticipated, repeated thermal stresses to the panels. Later, all 10,000 windows in the building would be replaced at an estimated cost of $5 million.

Though the replacement of the windows was a good boost to the building, it was not the end of the problem. By design, Skyscrapers are meant to sway in order to absorb strong gusts of wind, though the sway is normally not felt by the building’s residents. The John Hancock Tower, however, swayed so dramatically that it gave the occupants of its upper floors motion sickness. It was an architectural accomplishment that was good to look at from outside, yet inside, it suffered major foundational issues that if handled properly, the designers would have a name for themselves forever.

We all know negative feedback sells more than good feedback and once the problems started streaming in, the people started asking the architects and engineers of the building questions they had no answers too.Suddenly, they knew how far reaching their mistakes could cost them as the owners of the building demanded for answers.

When talking to the disciples, Jesus talks of two buildings. All the buildings were built magnificently- though one was on sand and the other on a firm foundation of the rock.
Unfortunately, the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house that was magnificently built on sand, and sure enough, it fell, and great was the fall of it.”On the other hand, the other house build on the rock did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24-27

It’s amazing how this covid season has isolated real Christians from the many who knew little about God, yet attended church services regularly. From the outside, you could see Christians smiling and praising the Lord during “the before of covid 19” but when reality sunk in, as it has been said, majority of those who professed Christianity are no longer Christians. Some backslide from the 1st month when covid arrived from Wohun while others, it took some 3 month of lockdown for them to cave-in with distrust towards God.How can a good God bring a pandemic to ravage his people like this-across the whole world? How can a good God let people suffer, children die of a disease that no one-including the doctors, have no solution to it? That is just one of the many questions they ask in disgust, as they point an accusing finger to the God of heaven.

Actually, majority of them have never gone to church ever since the government said people should go on with worship-with all protocols observed. The fear of the unknown has ravaged them and taken the place they once reserved for God. Their hope in God is no more, as they only look for daily briefings by government,on what to do,where to go or how to be safe(which is good). The safety net they had in Christ have been replaced with a pandemic they knew nothing about, when they used to attend church regularly. From the Indian variant, delta variant and all the variance that covid19 seems to bring every day, has made them fold their hands and hide in a cave of their own-as they push God away from the picture.

The reality of the matter is, our Christian faith is under test during this covid19 season but what a blessing, if your foundation in Christ was built on the rock that cannot be swayed by the winds of time. It saddens me to hear how many have gone out of the way, just because of covid 19. Jesus was clear when talking about the two buildings. He said,” everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them- will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.  (Matthew 26- 27).

Dear Christian, allow me to ask you this,”how grounded are you in the word of God? How central is it in your daily walk with the Lord, as you navigate through this trying season? What a shame to grow up, be raised in church and yet fall from the faith-reason being a pandemic called covid 19. During this season, and regardless of how much this has affected you,can you kneel down like Job and say ,”Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”(Job 1:21)? How strong is your foundation in Christ? The John Hancock Tower could not stand the test as it gave in to the winds and heat but my question still remains, how is this Covid wind and heat standing out for you? Have you caved in with disbelief or in faith, you can easily thank God for everything-as you hope for a better tomorrow-both in God and for the world we live in.

Regardless of what is going on,always beware “we’re not like those who turn away from God to their own destruction. We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.(Hebrews 10:39). Let us hope always in God because everything will pass away, but his word that is planted in us,will live forever. We will win this covid battle craft abetter future for us,and our generation.God bless you

How to overcome depression

Yitzhak Rabin, the commander of Israel’s military in 1967 never knew going to seek advice from someone he trusted, would sink him into deep depression. As Israel’s founding father, many in Israel loved Ben Gurion, and treated him as an elder statesman, including Mr Yitzhak Rabin.

By that time, Egypt was drumming war songs, and there was all possibilities of an imminent attack, from both Syria and Egypt, yet Israel was UN-prepared for war. In this moment of crisis, all eyes turned to the founding father of Israel David Ben-Gurion, the man who led Israel from the dark days of the war of independence in 1948.

By the time Mr Rabin was coming for advice, Ben Gurion thought it was a mistake to go to war. Immediately, after hearing this words from the man he trusted the most, Mr Rabin sunk into depression.

Yitzhak as head of the army, was a man under intense physical and emotional pressure. The general public was unaware of this twist of things in the army, and were anxiously waiting to get news from the head of the army on the way forward, yet little did they know, “he was depressed and hospitalized.

Prime Minister Levi Eshkol even remarked, “Can you imagine at this moment, if the general public heard that the chief of staff has collapsed, what kind of depression it would cause to our nation? All this was hid under wraps, and no citizen, plus the enemies of Israel knew of Rabin’s depressed state, until later when he wrote it in his book.

Ben Gurion in his moment of need, planted doubts in his heart, about his ability as commander of Israel’s Army.

Yrs later, Yitzhak Rabin joined politics and became the fifth Prime Minister of Israel, serving two terms in office, 1974–77 and 1992 until his assassination in 1995.

It’s so sad to note many people dying of depression, are victims of the way they were treated by the people they trusted the most! Imagine going to your husband or wife, only to hear from their mouth, words that turns your world upside down. Maybe it’s words that are lorded with fireworks, and in the presence of his or your relatives, while showing everyone how unworthy you’re.

In another instance, a certain man was hospitalized because his urine was non-stop. This man was depressed because the woman he loved the most, and was ready to marry, had suddenly changed her mind, on the 11th hr. The wedding was set in 2 days and he had paid the dowry, and done everything as it should be, only to hear of other news that turned him down. As Yizhak Rabin, he could not handle it.

This is not to men alone but women have been affected the more. She even has more than 3 kids with him, yet you knew nothing about this, over the yrs.

To others, bosses have been a thorn in their flesh, when the word depression comes to their mind! Sometimes the most careless people, who’re given to bad language, are the bosses in our many offices. Since he pays you, he feels he can say anything any time, and without any remorse.

We thank God for those who care of what they say to their staff, but as some brother told me, he was so depressed in the office when the boss was so much in him, until he just walked out.

He says it was the grace of God that prevented him from being knocked by a car, as he walked aimlessly towards Uhuru Park in Nairobi Kenya.

Gideon went ahead to win the war with God’s help, but Yitzhak was in hospital nursing depression, after Ben Gurion’s untimely words.

Personally, it’s my belief that depression can significantly reduce by up-to 60%, if we cared to talk right words and weighed what we said to one another, both in our homes, offices and street corners.

Again, this is the time to take inventory of what you said to people that hurt them the most and ask God to forgive you!

Overcoming the rejection

When Beveline had been fired from her job, the first person in her mind to tell the story was her boyfriend Tim! With only 5 month to the wedding, and so close to Tim, the man she thought will soon be her “Husband to be”!. As she talked to Tim while sobbing, Tim only listened, then told her he was a little bit busy, and he would call her later. To Bev, it seemed he was never touched with what she said, but she was hopeful and and as she disconnected, her mum came to mind. It shall be well, “Mum assured her daughter as they concluded their 1 hr talk.

Bev felt a bit relieved, but sad though expectant too, as she waited to hear her man call. Amid the sobs and prayer, the next day, all she could hear were the words of her mum, “It shall be well. To add another aroma to it, dad called before she slept and talked to her for another hr, and as they parted, he assured her that her mum will be traveling the next day evening, to just be with her for one week, and offer her a shoulder to lean on. The support Bev got from her parents was more than she could imagine. Mum arrived and was just what she needed around her, and after sobering-up, and in the middle of the talk, she asked, “Have you talked to Tim about this? Yes mum, i called and he was to get back to me, but his phone is either off or as he keeps telling me, “he will call me later!

Motioning courage, mum looked her daughter in the eye and said, “do you think, as bad as this might be, that God may be using this situation to show you who your man is, before making the mistake of marrying him? Bev could not answer but tears flowed, because she truly loved Tim, but as they prayed, mum assured her again, “it shall be well.

The next day, her mum left for upcountry, after spending her 2 weeks with her daughter, and as fate would have it, she received a call to go for an interview, in a job she applied for, while still in her work. She was optimistic and looked forward to it, but before she left the house, her phone had a message from Tim. Dear Bev, he said,”I would be glad to release you for another man. I feel I’m not ready and i wish you well.

This message nearly killed her but she had an interview to attend.

While on the road going for the interview, she started remembering how she has supported Tim. His birthdays have been her duty. She gave money whenever he asked, and without thinking too much about it. Her thoughts were stopped abruptly when she was called in, for the interview. Looking as though awoken from sleep, she jumped up, dusted herself and requested to use the ladies first, then come-in, in a minute’s time. As she rushed, she cleaned her eyes of tears, made up her face and rushed out, and to God’s glory, after 2 days, she was called to start work.

The amazing thing is, her new job was paying 3 times more than the one she was sacked from, and the position was next to a managerial job. Tim’s thoughts shrouded her with this news but now she was smiling, more than crying. She called mum and dad, and they were just so happy for her, but dad could not mince words, “Bev my daughter, don’t go back to that man! But dad, she replied, “he told me in strong terms he does not want us together anymore!. Yes, you told me, but in-case you’re thinking of telling him this news, hold your horses.

Bev shared this news with her other friends, and they were so happy for her. Later, she realized, that her friends who knew Tim had also shared the good news to him. They told her they wanted him to hear it, because when she lost the job, all he said to them was,” I can’t marry a jobless woman with no earning! That was his words. Losing a job for Bev was a trigger for him to make it official, he was no-longer interested in her and the relationship!

Beloved, we live in a different world this days. If you don’t pray before engaging someone, then wait for surprises. I have come to realize that most people are happy in relationships where only one person is in it, while the other is just dating him\her, because of what s\he has! Do you wonder why some beautiful girls who’re jobless are wondering what hit them, because few or no man is interested in them, yet they’re ripe and well-endowed for marriage?

How many marriages are right now under, just because s\he lost his job? To some people, it took a sickness for them to realize the man or woman they once loved so much, had no time for even a hospital visitation. Relatives come and ask about their lover, and if he visited, and they lack words. You loved and believed so much in this man, but in time of trouble, when needed them more, they disappear as though you never were of value to her.

What you don’t know is, Beverline’s friends shared the good news to Tim, and when he realized she got a good, well-paying job, now he got the guts to call. Bev by this time, had made up her mind, and told him off in clear terms, “that she considers his sms as a final nail to the relationship, and she won’t be begged for it again. He tried to cry when he begged her for a meeting but her words were clear-NO!.

Many times, God does things in our life with a view of showing us who the people we love so much are. Only those who don’t understand how God works, think of suicide when such happens to them. The bible is clear, “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. [Romans 8:28]. God at times, will jealously guard you from marrying the wrong person, by removing what he treasured the most from you, so that you may have a clear view of who\she is!

Bev got another man. Infarct, a better man, and got to invite Tim to her wedding! He never came, and she never expected him to come, but the message was clear, “You refused me thinking “i won’t make it, but come see what the Lord has done!

If you are dating and fully in-love with this man or woman, it’s my prayer for you that God may show you who s\he really is! If he’s following you because of what you have and not because of love, may God help you see the other side you have never seen, and for his glory!. Like Bev, may God protect you from such people and make a way for you, even when the road you’re traveling on seem unclear. May he give you direction and comfort, even in such hurtful situations. It takes God to know the chaff from the wheat, and i pray that God may be the one to show you the way, even as you wait on him. Have a blessed of day.God bless you

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus your own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
